The Defensive Driving Texas Course uses a State-Certified, licensed, multi-media class designed to make you a safer driver. (Please see "System Requirements" for info on the necessary technical aspects of the course.) The Defensive Driving Texas Course takes about the same length of time as a live defensive driving class, but you can take more time if you want to.

Your identity will be verified. You will be answering questions throughout about course content and your identity that you must score 70% or higher on, which most students have absolutely no difficulty with. Identity questions might include personal information such as driving data about you and your car. Lastly, you will be taking a final exam at the end that you must make a 70% or better on to pass. If you fail for some reason you can review the material and try again. There's more information about testing in the course.

You will be able to log on or off of Defensive Driving Texas at your discretion and pick-up where you left off each time you return. While in the Defensive Driving Texas Course you will be able to page back through material you have covered but not to page forward beyond pages you have completed. Each page has a timer and you must remain on that page until the timer allows you to move forward.
